Fast, Reliable Delivery

Most standard orders placed before 1pm are dispatched same day with 1–3 working day delivery service.

The formulation is a balanced 17-9-10 NPK mix plus magnesium oxide and trace elements. Resin-coated granules release nutrients gradually, with release responding to soil temperature — faster in warmth, slower in cold. Particularly suitable for maintaining established sedum systems including UGR Instant Sedum Roof Trays.

Temperature-controlled nutrient release

The resin coating controls how quickly nutrients are released into the growing medium. Release responds naturally to soil temperature:

  • Nutrients are released more quickly during warmer growing conditions
  • Release slows as temperatures fall
  • Plants receive a gradual supply rather than one concentrated feed
  • Only one or two applications are normally required each year

This makes routine green roof maintenance simpler while helping support the sedum through different stages of seasonal growth.

Balanced nutrient formulation

The fertiliser formulation is 17-9-10 + 2MgO + TE. This provides:

  • Nitrogen to support healthy vegetative growth
  • Phosphorus and potassium as part of the balanced plant feed
  • Added magnesium oxide
  • Supplementary trace elements

It can also be used for other suitable plants, trees and shrubs where this formulation meets their feeding requirements.

Coverage

Each 1kg bag covers approximately 20m² of sedum roof. Actual use should follow the application guidance supplied with the product. Distribute the granules evenly across the planted area rather than allowing them to collect in concentrated piles.

Applying the fertiliser

  1. Inspect the sedum roof and remove any unwanted debris or weeds.
  2. Measure the planted area to determine the amount of fertiliser required.
  3. Scatter the granules evenly across the sedum and growing medium.
  4. Avoid concentrating large quantities in one place.
  5. Continue watering and maintaining the green roof as appropriate for the weather and planting.
  6. Repeat once or twice during the year, in accordance with the product instructions and condition of the sedum.

For UGR Instant Sedum Roof Trays, the technical guidance recommends applying a suitable slow-release granular fertiliser approximately once every six months.

Important suitability note

Fertiliser requirements vary between planting systems. Apply the product in accordance with its packaging instructions and the requirements of the specific plants and growing medium.

Fertiliser supports plant nutrition but does not replace appropriate watering, drainage or general green roof maintenance.
