UGR Green Roof Edge Trim Internal Corner provides a simple, reliable way to continue an aluminium edging system around an inward-facing 90° corner.
The pre-formed aluminium component joins two straight sections of edge trim, helping create a neat and consistent perimeter around the green roof build-up.
It removes the need to cut and manually shape a corner from straight trim, saving installation time and helping achieve a more uniform finish.
What is an internal corner?
An internal corner is used where the edging turns around an inward-facing part of the roof perimeter, creating an inside angle. It is suitable for details such as:
- Recessed sections of a roof perimeter
- Inward-facing returns
- Changes in direction around internal roof features
- Landscaping layouts incorporating 90° inside corners
For an outward-facing perimeter corner, use the UGR Green Roof Edge Trim External Corner.
Part of the UGR edging system
The internal corner is designed to work with the straight aluminium edge trim and compatible connectors — the UGR Aluminium Green Roof Edge Trim – 1m and the UGR Green Roof Edge Trim Connector.
Together, these components create a modular edging system that can be adapted to the shape and dimensions of the roof.
Installing the internal corner
- Position the internal corner at the required inward-facing 90° change in direction.
- Align a straight edge-trim length with each side of the corner.
- Join the corner piece to the straight trims using compatible edge-trim connectors.
- Check that the trim and corner are securely seated and correctly aligned.
- Continue installing the edging around the remaining perimeter.
- Complete the adjoining pebble and growing-substrate areas as specified for the green roof system.
Important suitability note
This component is specifically formed for inward-facing 90° corners. It should not be used for outward-facing perimeter corners or as a substitute for a straight connector.
For outside corners, use the corresponding UGR Green Roof Edge Trim External Corner.
